The Ghana National Fire Service has said that a police Rhino Kia mini truck with three male occupants lost control due to a gear lever fault, resulting in an accident that killed one person.
The accident that occurred at Aseseso on the Somanya-Adukrom highway on March 21, 2026, and others that occurred in parts of the country.
The Kpong Municipal Fire Station said they received a distress call reporting this accident.
Fire personnel promptly rescued two survivors, who were conveyed to Yilo Krobo District Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred as the vehicle was descending the Aseseso hill, heading from Begoro to Ashiaman. The prompt response of the fire crew ensured timely medical attention for the injured.
