The 5 people you need in your corner this year (For Real Health Progress)

Most people struggle with health not because they lack information. The world today is brimming with information on how to have a healthy life, but most people still struggle because they try to do everything alone.

This year, think less about the resolutions list. Rather, focus on building a health team. A small reliable group of people who actually know you, your patterns and will call you out when you go off track. This is key to making sure any health progress sticks throughout the year.  When the right support is around you, progress becomes more predictable and consistent.

The five I’m talking about aren’t all doctors. Some won’t prescribe anything. But one can change your energy levels within weeks without medication. Another can reduce your pain by correcting simple everyday habits while one can even detect problems before they become serious.

Why This Matters

Many of us try to manage our health like we are both the patient and the “doctor”. In doing so, we miss something very important: our objectivity. In trying to assess yourself, you might fail to see patterns, know what questions to ask and when something feels slightly off, you can wait too long to address it.

This is why putting together these five people and knowing who to turn to, and when, can be the difference between cycles of frustration and actual progress in 2026.

What’s Coming In The Next 6 Weeks

Over the next few articles, I’ll reveal each of these 5 People You Need in Your Corner Who they are, what they do, and how to work with them effectively. The goal is to make your health plan practical, personalized and sustainable.

Some of these you’ll see regularly. Others might be see occasionally or even just once this year.

This isn’t an exclusive list but rather a foundation for your health. The point is to stop trying to solve everything on your own and start building a support system that works for your actual life.

And yes—there’s a hidden 6th. Because this list is not exclusive. As your needs become clearer through check-ups and conversations, other persons may become important too.
