Ignorance and desperation push young artistes to make costly contractual mistakes – BullGod

Artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as BullGod has added his voice to the subject about young artistes and contractual mistakes.

Speaking on TV3’s The Afternoon Show, Thursday, January 29, 2026, he blamed the practice of young artistes signing contracts without complete understanding to desperation to succeed and ignorance of the contract terms.

He explained that as young and naive as upcoming artistes are at the start of their career, they are unable to act professionally rather desperate to succeed in the industry, thus commit such contractual errors.

“I will attribute it to a lot of ignorance and desperation. At the start of their career, they are very desperate and unsure whether they are going to make it or not so they come hand-in-hand begging. They don’t come professionally,” he stated.

He added “Most of them don’t have the trust in the talent they possess and that is what informs the kind of agreement they get into.”

He advised upcoming artistes to “take their time and not be desperate and believe in themselves.”
