Dormaahene gifts 2025 Best Graduating Student at University of Energy and Natural Resources a Saloon car

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyeman Badu II, the Council Chairman of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), has presented a 2025 Toyota Levin hybrid to valedictorian Jennifer Addae, a BSC Chemistry student.

‎In his speech, Dr. Agyeman Badu II emphasized the importance of recognizing academic excellence at UENR, stating, “When excellence is recognized, it encourages discipline, purpose, and healthy competition.”

He expressed his commitment to supporting students, highlighting that the car symbolizes belief in the future of young people and the role of education in national development.



‎Dr. Agyeman Badu II praised the university for fostering an environment where merit is acknowledged and congratulated Addae on her impressive achievements. He reflected on the promise he made during the establishment of UENR to support education in the Brong-Ahafo region.

‎Jennifer Addae’s academic record is exemplary; she earned 6 A’s and 1 B+ in her first semester of level 200, followed by 7 A’s in the second semester. At level 300, she maintained a GPA of 3.85 with 6 A’s and 2 B’s, and again achieved a GPA of 4.0 in her final semester. Overall, she graduated with a GPA of 3.95, earning the titles of the best graduating student in her department, School of Science, and overall for the 2025 academic year.



‎In her acceptance speech, Jennifer humbly remarked, “I never thought of it. I just wanted to do my best to make my parents proud.” She encouraged her peers to work hard and strive for excellence.

‎Vice Chancellor Prof. Elvis Asare-Bediako also addressed the audience, saying, “Let today remind you that effort matters and excellence is attainable. This honor is both a reward and a responsibility.” He urged Jennifer to carry the university’s values into her future endeavors.

‎This memorable event celebrates not only Jennifer’s hard work but also the promise of education and its lasting impact on the community.
