Next NDC government to establish Farmer Service centers to promote food production-Mahama

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has hinted that, as part of ideas put together to rescue this country, farmer service centers will be established in various districts to offer service to farmers at subsidized cost.

According to the former president, once a farmer is registered with the service center at the beginning of the farming season, he/she will be given all the inputs and a subsidized tractor service. This, he said is to promote food production in the Country.

“We’re going to establish farmer service centers, and there’s going to be one here in Wa East. The farmer service center is going to have everything that you need to do your farming. We’ll register farmers, We will inspect your farm. We’ll come to your farm. We’ll measure your farm. We know what crop you are producing. If you are producing beans or groundnuts or cassava or maize or yam, we will know”. He explained.

Speaking at Goripie in the Wa East Constituency during his three-day campaign tour in the Upper West Region, Mahama urges the people to massively endorse the NDC and the Member of Parliament for the Wa East.

John Dramani Mahama revealed that Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasew will play a key role in the next NDC government, especially in the implementation of the agricultural policies.
