Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has made a notable arrival in the Upper West Regional Capital, Wa, on Thursday, June 13, 2024. The visit is meant to enable the leader of the party to attend a significant fundraising dinner hosted at Dellagio Hotel.
The event drew together a constellation of high-ranking members and executives of the NDC, including the running mate of the flag bearer, Professor Jane Nana Agyeman, the national chairman, Johnson Aseidu Nketia, former chief of staff Julius Debrah, Betty Mould Iddrisu, Alex Mould, and other distinguished party officials.
The primary goal of this fundraising dinner was to generate revenue to fuel the party’s campaigning and activities in the Upper West Region. Issah Kantagyere, the regional communications officer for the NDC in the Upper West Region, emphasized that the proceeds from this event would play a pivotal role in mobilizing funds for effective campaigning in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Attendees at the fundraising dinner were required to purchase coupons ranging from GH₵5,000 to GH₵100,000. The event anticipated attracting a substantial number of party faithful, business owners, and supporters, all converging to bolster the party’s endeavors to clinch victory in the 2024 elections.
In an interview with Tungsung Radio, Regional communications officer, Issah Kantagyere underscored the significance of the occasion, stressing that the funds raised would be dedicated to supporting the party’s campaign activities in the region, thus paving the way for victory for the NDC in 2024.
“This event marks a crucial stride towards ensuring that our party is well-equipped to triumph in the 2024 elections. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our members and supporters who have generously contributed to this fundraising dinner. With their unwavering support, we are confident in our ability to achieve victory in the elections,” Kantagyere articulated.
Ahead of the 2024 elections, the NDC has been fervently engaging in fundraising activities nationwide. The party intends to utilize the funds raised to finance its campaign activities and bolster its candidates across various constituencies.
