Iittle Drops of Water Make a Mighty Ocean”: Hatie Nancy Nwadei Launches “Hatie Empowers” Initiative

Wa, Upper West Region – In an inspiring gathering at the Noni Hub in Wa, Hatie Nancy Nwadei, the Upper West Region’s representative for the 2024 TV3 Ghana’s Most Beautiful competition, unveiled her ambitious new project, the “Hatie Empowers Initiative.” The program, aimed at uplifting rural communities, is designed to empower young girls, nurture youth development, promote culture and talent, and advocate for agribusiness.
Speaking on her motivations, Hatie drew from personal experience, having grown up in a rural setting herself. “Growing up in a rural community, I understood how life could be difficult for young girls, with many factors limiting them from achieving their dreams,” she said, noting how challenges such as lack of educational resources can hold girls back. “Some of these factors are the lack of basic educational needs, and I have to come in that direction,” she emphasized.
In her address, Hatie acknowledged the vital support she’s received, particularly from the Necessary Aid Alliance, and expressed confidence in the project’s long-term impact. “I am privileged to have support from the NGO, Necessary Aid Alliance, and with some strong team members, I believe strongly that the initiative will be sustained,” she shared with attendees.
The launch attracted dignitaries and influential figures across various sectors, all pledging support for the vision of “Hatie Empowers” to create positive change in rural communities. The initiative focuses on empowering young girls through mentorship and skill development, promoting cultural pride and talent, and supporting agribusiness to foster economic self-reliance.
