A 70-year-old man, Nnabaali Luggu Naa, who has been confined indoors due to a lack of mobility, can now fulfill his dream of joining communal prayers at the mosque, thanks to a generous donation of a wheelchair by Abdulai Abdul-Hafiz, a young philanthropist based in Wa.
Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, Nnabaali expressed how this life-changing donation would allow him to participate in Friday Jummah prayers, a cherished desire he had been unable to fulfill.
“I have been willing and wanting to go to the mosque to pray, but I couldn’t because I had no assistance. I am so grateful I can now join everyone at the mosque to pray on Fridays. God bless you, Abdul-Hafiz. Words can’t thank you enough. My heart is filled with gratitude. May Allah bless you abundantly and fill your pocket to keep touching lives,” he said with visible relief.
Nnabaali, who has been immobile for years, resides in Tinina in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region. His plight caught the attention of Abdul-Hafiz, whose self-sponsored charity organization has gained recognition for its consistent support to individuals and organizations across the region.
The wheelchair was delivered by a team from the charity, led by Musah Muzafar, who reiterated the organization’s commitment to helping the less privileged and individuals living with disabilities. Muzafar noted that the support extended to Nnabaali was not just a one-time gesture but part of the organization’s broader mission to improve lives.
“Hafiz was quick to respond to Nnabaali Luggu Naa’s situation, understanding how critical it was for him to regain mobility, especially to attend the mosque for Friday prayers,” Muzafar stated.
