Hon. Hajia Humu Awudu Enhances Education and Community Support in Wa Central

Hon. Hajia Humu Awudu, the Wa Central Constituency Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has once again demonstrated her commitment to community development by donating 30 classroom desks to the Jonga Islamic School. This initiative is part of her broader policy to enhance effective teaching and learning in the constituency.

The donation ceremony, held at the school premises, saw a gathering of community members, school staff, and local leaders. Hon. Daubile Alhassan Ibrahim, the Assembly Member for the Jonga Electoral Area, commended Hajia Humu for her continuous support. He highlighted her efforts in transforming the lives of individuals and institutions within the community, particularly through job creation and educational support.


“Hajia Humu has always been a pillar of support for Jonga. Her contributions have significantly impacted our people, and today’s donation of 30 desks will go a long way in improving our students’ learning conditions,” Hon. Daubile remarked. He further urged the community to support her candidacy in the upcoming elections, citing her dedication to uplifting the constituency.

The PTA Chairman of Jonga Islamic School expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the parents and teachers. “This donation is a significant favor to our school. Our children are the future, and providing them with better learning facilities is crucial. We are deeply thankful to Hajia Humu for this invaluable contribution,” he stated. He also appealed for additional support, requesting the construction of a toilet facility to improve sanitation for the students.


Mr. Mahama Abdul-Aziz, a tutor at the school, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the timely nature of Hajia Humu’s intervention. “Her support has come at a critical time when we needed it the most. We are truly grateful.”

Hon. Hajia Humu’s outreach extended beyond the school. She visited Jonga Town, where she donated chairs, a football, and a set of jerseys to the youth, who expressed their heartfelt appreciation. During an interactive session with the local women, she discussed development issues and assured them of her continued support.


Her journey continued to Jonga-Tabiase and Doodi Yiri, where she donated additional chairs, jerseys, and footballs to the youth in these communities. The residents warmly received her, expressing their gratitude and pledging their support.
