The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Wa Central Constituency, Hon. Hajia Humu Awudu, has called on the people of Wa Central Constituency, particularly those eligible to defy all odds and participate in the Electoral Commission’s limited Voter Registration exercise.
According to her, registering for the Voter ID card remains the only power to let one’s vote count and to as well, decide who leads the Constituency in Ghana’s Parliament and also who becomes the President of the country.
The philanthropic politician was speaking at Jinkpan community where a symbolic sod-cutting ceremony was held for the Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu, to break grounds for the commencement of the construction of 110 boreholes across the eleven Municipal and Districts of the Region.
The EC has commenced this year’s limited registration exercise on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, ahead of the December 7 general elections.
The exercise is expected to come to a closure on Monday, May 27, 2024, according to the Electoral Commission’s Calender targeting to register about 623,000 people in the exercise.
